The L'Ermitage has named its new chef, Joseph Elevado, who will oversee culinary offerings at the hotel's new restaurant Livello. However, before the Italian-Asian (yup that combo is happening) eatery makes its late October debut, Elevado will take over the kitchen at Breadbar in Century City on September 20 for a sneak peek menu preview. Seating are available between 6PM and 8:30PM for a six course tasting. Sample menu selections include an amuse of Whitefish and Uni with finger lime and shiso leaf; Short Rib Bolognese with locatelli; “smoked” salmon sashimi and bacon ikura; and Chicken “Picatta.” L’Ermitage Beverage Manager Stephanie Brown will pair cocktails made with bourbon, heirloom tomato, lemon, agave, and basil with each course.
