MID-CITY— Just a quick note on Short Cake, that previously mentioned bakery project from Nancy Silverton and Amy Pressman at the Farmers Market. Bill Thee of Thee's Continental Pastries, located for decades in the Farmers Market, was ready to finally sell his business (elephant cake and all) and once Short Order/Short Cake partner Bill Chait heard so much, he took action and this space is, in fact, where Short Cake will live.
