Did you know that in California it's actually illegal for a bar to sell you an alcoholic beverage made with a house-infused spirit? According to LAist, if the infusion did not happen at the distillery before the spirit was bottled, that's a no-no. BUT, after almost 100 years, it's time for a change. Last year Bay Area State Senator Mark Leno introduced SB 32, basically a loophole for bars and restaurants who act as "rectifiers" to sell the aforementioned creations. Apparently the bill passed through the Senate and Assembly and could become law. Sign this here petition to support SB 32. [LAist]
