Benihana's Mezzanine Level Gets Sushi Revamp in SM

When Benihana first opened 10 years ago on 4th Street in Santa Monica, the upstairs portion of the restaurant housed a sushi bar and lounge. However, management closed the sushi bar part about five years ago and the lounge remained, though under-utilized. Fast forward to this past May, this upstairs area shuttered for a three month long revamp and just recently relaunched with a full sushi bar and white banquettes in the adjacent space for a more modern, urban feel.
