Los Angeles Food Establishment Missed Connections

New, 6 comments

Although the dining rooms of LA are filled with many happy couples, they are also inhabited by lovesick diners looking to catch the eye of that special someone. Sometimes, these patrons take to Craigslist, to try and find that guy or girl who they saw from across the dining room, but weren’t able to muster the courage to approach. Here now are a few restaurant missed connections — perhaps love is on the menu soon.

Barney's Beanery (m4w): "I talked to you a bunch tonight while we ate. You kept saying you weren't our server but got us drinks anyways. I should have asked for your number but didn't want to get you in trouble at work as you said you were new there. I'd love to talk some more if your interested. Tell me what my friend forgot to bring so I know its you."

Theo at taco truck on Sunset last night with PBR (w4m): "We talked waiting for our food. I had just come from the Teddy Bears show at the echoplex. You ordered nachos and gave me two PBR's. You may be too young for me but I thought you were adorable and you wanted to hang out. I was wearing a striped shirt. Then you disappeared. Hopefully you will see this and hit me up."

Studio City Trader Joes (m4w): "You were wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt at around 4pm on Sunday. I loved the way the jeans fit you, if you get my drift. I was wearing jean and a white t-shirt. I didn't see a ring on your finger so I assume/hope you are unattached. Boy did you look good. I saw you towards the veggie area and then again near the milk section."

Blonde in Vons in Santa Monica (m4w): "You walked in the store while I was already in line. I couldn't take my eyes off you. I watched you go down several aIsles looking for something. But then you walked right by me and went to the wine section. You are beautiful and you make a pair of jeans look real good. You left the store and walked down the street. I then lost you. You had such a deep look on your face. If you remember seeing a 6'4 tall white guy in line....let me know ...you had me on my knees ;)"'

Montery Park Pollo Loco (m4w): "You, Asian, very cute, short hair, jeans and a tee, you order a combo meal right after me. I smiled at you and you smiled back. I was helping myself to the condiments and you followed me next. I picked up my order and you sat where I was sitting. As I was leaving, I saw you again and smiled and you looked back to smile. Can't remember what car you were driving, looked like a green camry, older model. Didn't see a wedding ring. Me, baseball hat, sunglasses, blue shorts, gray tee, sandals, driving gray honda CRV with my dog in it. Maybe it was just me but I felt some chemistry. I circled back but you had left. Wish I had muster up the courage to say hi when I had the chance."

Fresh Bites on Sunset (m4m): "I was picking up breakfast and we talked about rude people and how they put a damper on your day. Was refreshing to have a nice conversation with someone who was intelligent and didn't seem like they were full of themselves. I believe you said you were an assistant. Would love to have a nice chat again, perhaps over some drinks? Email me and let me know the color shirt you were wearing."

Girl with the half sleeve tats at the bar (m4w): "Met you last night at the bar. You'd just gotten off work and were with your co-workers. You had half sleeve tats on both arms and told me about the celebrity you served that day who stiffed you on the tip. I should have asked for your number, but I'm an idiot. If by some strange twist of fate you see this I'd like to take you out sometime."
