Four years after opening Amarone Kitchen + Wine, Alessandro Polastri has expanded eastward into Koreatown with his new restaurant, All' Angolo Pizza & Pasta. Not to be confused with All' Angelo (the previously shuttered Melrose eatery), All' Angolo, which debuted on Sunday, specializes in pizza and pasta in a neighborhood lacking both.
When Amarone first opened many questioned its location and layout. But, through strong word of mouth and the addition of The London, Eveleigh, an Il Sole revamp, Boa and Soho House, the location worked out. While the small space is crammed at times, Polastri still built steady business. That's also despite contentious Yelp review drama between Polastri and a bitter patron. However, Yelpage on this new spot has started out strong with four five-star reviews. [EaterWire]
