George Abou-Daoud (The Bowery, Rosewood Tavern) is finally ready to share details on his soon to open celebration of all things Americana at Township Americana Kitchen & Saloon, the next eating and drinking establishment set to live in the space formerly occupied by District. Township Saloon is slated to open either October 5 or 6 next door to Mercantile on Sunset and will serve anything and everything American from bites to booze. Expect comfortable cross country plates that range from Yankee Pot Roast to Memphis-Style Baby Back Ribs to New England Clam Chowder to Louisiana Shrimp Boil to Detroit-Style Hot Dogs; alongside American craft beers (12 on tap) like Sweetgrass APA and Moose Drool Brown Ale, plus classic cocktails (full bar) that will definitely include a Mint Julep.
