No Tomatoes, one of the few Indian food trucks to spring up in the last couple of years, is the latest truck to open a brick and mortar spot. The new No Tomatoes Cafe took over the former Crepe Republic corner space in the strip mall on La Cienega and West Third. A fast food, grab and go style space, No Tomatoes Cafe serves an extended version of the truck's menu. Small plates include salads, rice bowls, Indian-style tacos and classic North Indian fare like daal and Tikka Masala. Meal plates, at just $7, include a Chapli Burger (with choice of chicken or beef) and a Seekh Dog (made from lamb). Samosas, Naan, raita, papadums and Lassis are also on offer. Open now for lunch and dinner. [EaterWire]
