New, 3 comments

PASADENA— Lemonade, the old school cafeteria-esque eatery with locations in Venice, Brentwood, Downtown, and Mid-City, will debut on S. Lake Ave in Pasadena tomorrow at 11AM. [EaterWire]

BEVERLY HILLS— Remember Luckyfish which became Tiger Sushi on Canon? That space is being reformatted into Erbe Matte, an Italian restaurant with Korean influences helmed by chef Louis Kim (former EC at Four Seasons Milan). Eric Tecoscky (Jones) will oversee the drinks program. Look for an opening mid-October. [EaterWire]

PASADENA— Vertical Wine Bistro has grown horizontally. The restaurant now encompasses an expanded second floor space with a larger bar and lounge area and a 60 seat dining room dubbed The Library. Executive chef Laurent Quenioux created a new menu (think Artichokes with Goat Cheese Curd and Tomatoes Confit; Penne with Braised Oxtail Gratin; Green Garlic Tempura and Balsamic) and a few craft beers are now available on tap. BEVERLY HILLS— Kate Mantilini on Wilshire has added a new outdoor patio and management is working on a complete overhaul of the restaurant's bar program. A new cocktail menu designed by a "notable mixologist team" is soon to launch. [EaterWire]
