When we first reported that Sadie was taking over the former, storied, Le Deux space, there was little to no information about chef, design or bar. Ownership and PR have remained tight lipped about it for months. Now, as Sadie's opening date nears, new details are coming to light. Executive Chef duties fall to Dave Schmit, who was previously at the Hotel Bel Air and The Buffalo Club in Santa Monica. The full bar will be tended by Giovanni Martinez. Martinez is handling the wine list too. The menus are described as "New American," which might be a new way of saying farm-to-table. Cocktails are "hand-crafted" and the wine list is "eclectic." If the dim, dark-colored interior is any indication, Sadie will fit right into its Hollywood home. Sadie is set to open January 24 for dinner.
