Today, Providence announces that it has hired a new pastry chef to replace Adrian Vasquez who clocked out way back in November 2010. Please welcome David Rodriguez, a master of sweets who worked under Vasquez for two years at Providence, but departed to work with Jordan Kahn during XIV days then over at Red Medicine. Now, Rodriguez comes full circle and returns to claim the executive pastry chef title. Pictured right, Rodriguez's take on a Mont Blanc: crème fraîche, sablé breton, financier, chestnut jam, and vanilla mousse. He also serves an entire dessert tasting menu for those looking to get extra frisky. [ELA]
