Mario Batali, Cooking in LA

mariobatali.jpegAlthough Molto Mario does have a hand in Osteria and Pizzeria Mozza, it's rare to actually find him cooking in a Los Angeles kitchen. But, on January 28 Batali takes to the stove at Coast inside the Shutters hotel in Santa Monica to prepare lunch using recipes from his newest cookery book, Molto Batali. Two seatings are avail at 11:30AM and 2PM, and the three course lunch includes Rabe, Potato and Ricotta Ravioli; Braised Chicken with Sweet Onions and Parmigiano, Spaghetti Squash with Soft Herbs and Robiola; and Orange-Scented Cannoli. Each course will accompany a wine pairing and guests have the option to pay $75 to sit by the open kitchen and watch Batali cook, or spend $65 for a regular table seat. Note: only nine kitchen seats per seating. Resys here. [EaterWire]
