LudoBites 8 at Lemon Moon, Resys Live on 1/11 at 11AM

New, 7 comments

It's now time to announce chef Ludo Lefebvre's return with LudoBites 8, taking place at Josiah Citrin's Lemon Moon on Jan. 18-20; Jan. 23-27; Jan 30-31 & Feb. 1-3; Feb. 6-10; Feb. 13-15 & 17; and Feb. 20-22. Want a resy? This time around Ludo is trying out a new approach. OpenTable crashed while diners attempted to secure tables for LudoBites 6, and while OpenTable withstood the onslaught of eager diners attempting reservations during LudoBites 007, all tables for the five week stint disappeared within minutes. So now Ludo is giving the Urban Spoon table system a shot through a dining lottery. Here's how it's going to work: "Reservations will be given through a 24-hour lottery type entry system starting at 11am PST on January 11, 2012 and running through 10:59AM PST on January 12, 2012. All reservations will be randomly assigned and requests limited to one per valid phone number."

On a nightly basis six bar seats will be reserved for walk-ins and, weather permitting, some seats on the outdoor patio as well. In typical Ludo style BYOB is accepted with an $18 corkage, but guests also have the option to order bottles or carafes (one white, one red) of wine off a short list created by Domaine LA. Ludo's menu is still in development and he expects to finalize it by January 18th at 6PM. [EaterWire]
