The repeatedly delayed Livello soft-opened late last week inside the quiet, classy quarters of L'Ermitage in Beverly Hills. As expected, Chef Joseph Elevado is offering a menu of Italian and European influence, with a touch of Asian spice and style. Open for breakfast from 6:30AM until late into the night for dinner and drinks, the restaurant's menu spans the globe. The usual egg and pastry offerings don't stand out at breakfast, but for lunch the standard sandwich selections include a spicy cuban with roasted pork loin. There's a Maui Onion white pizza with a cream sauce, and Crab Cakes "Animal" style for dinner. Nearly everything is under $30. The dining room is full of flowers and the small interior courtyard-style patio sports a fountain and a fireplace. It's Beverly Hills, understated.
