Nate 'n Al's Thousand Oaks Donzo; Umami Moves In

A shutter and a plywood report all in one, as one chain's second location moves out and a newer chain moves in. Just after announcing that they were about to start expanding into San Diego, Umami Burger drops into Thousand Oaks with some signage this weekend in what used to be Nate 'n Al's Thousand Oaks. Nate 'n Al's opened only two years ago in the former Sushi Ko space inside The Lake's shopping complex, but Yelpers and the 'hood never bought into the Larry King buzz. As of last week, Nate 'n Al's is back down to one location. Meanwhile, Umami Burger Thousand Oaks should be open in a just a couple of months. [EaterWire]
