Bryant Ng to Relocate the Spice Table, Planning 2nd Resto

New, 12 comments

Oh wow, chef Bryant Ng's the Spice Table IS relocating AND he's opening a second restaurant. Ng, who this year was awarded Food & Wine's Best New Chef title, knew there was a possibility he might have to relocate his Southeast Asian eatery in Little Tokyo as a result of a potential metro station to be built where the Spice Table sits.

Last week a flood broke out (major plumbing issue) at the restaurant, causing Ng to temporarily shutter the eatery. Unfortunately, kitchen equipment was damaged and that, compounded with the forced move by metro, has caused Ng to relocate the eatery. Until then (about six to 12 months) the Spice Table has discontinued lunch service yet will continue with dinner. And as for his next eatery, no specifics just yet.
