West Third Street's Beyond Bread Loses Lease

Beyond Bread Bakery & Cafe struggled in recent years. The strip of cafes and restaurants on West Third across the street from Cedars-Sinai between San Vicente and Robertson has gone through a number of significant changes in the last five years as bakeries like Breadbar, Jack 'n Jill's and (around the corner) Maison Richard and Le Pain Quotidien have come and (mostly) gone. After the recent opening of Cimple Cafe, it seems that the small bakery specializing in bear claws and sugary danishes couldn't successfully go on. Ownership decided to move out rather than renew their lease and the space is up for grabs. [EaterWire]
