Humble Potato, P. Gators Southern Grill, The Stave, More!

1) LAX: American comfort food with a Japanese twist is hitting Lincoln Boulevard in 10 days via Humble Potato. Think burgers and shakes spiked with Japanese flavors, doesn't sound like a huge departure from Fukuburger or even Sawtelle's still-to-come Bachi Burger. [EaterWire]

2) North Hollywood: A "healthier" Southern restaurant called P. Gators Southern Grill will open on November 1 at 11049 Magnolia Boulevard. Owner Paul Hiles plans to serve "traditional Creole dishes" such as mac and cheese and jambalaya. A little bit more here. [Patch]

3) Venice: Though the Montana Avenue location is still under construction, Italy's SpazioCaffè already has a second coffee cafe space selected, moving to the Venice Renaissance at 245 Main Street on the Venice/Santa Monica border. [Toddrickallen]

4) Long Beach: The Stave is a forthcoming neighborhood wine and beer bar located on The Promenade in Downtown Long Beach. All sorts of plywood shots appear on The Facebook, meanwhile according to The Stave's website, the indoor/outdoor drinkery will house a 60-foot wooden bar, black vinyl booths, and a patio with fire pits. To eat, cheese and charcuterie. [EaterWire]
