Screen%20shot%202012-10-15%20at%2012.26.46%20PM.pngThe building which houses Hal's on Abbot Kinney in Venice originally operated as The Venice Merchant. And while the market isn't coming back in brick and mortar form, Giles and Laura Donovan have launched an online site, sort of like a glorified CSA, which delivers boxes of local produce, dairy, meat, and bread. They describe The Venice Merchant as "a virtual delicatessen for local foods" and promise costs to be "25% less than shopping at a store." [Yo! Venice!]
