AZUZA— FALAFEL ME! is a two-week-old fast casual Mediterranean restaurant opened (1123 E. Alosta Avenue) by Robert Atallah and Hani Nachef. Sort of like a less fancy Urban Garden, serving pita wraps, tabbouleh, hummus, kababs and falalfel. Atallah/Nachef plan to expand the concept to San Gabriel Valley within the next year. [EaterWire]

SANTA MONICA— After recently returning from a trip to Thailand, Viceroy chef de cuisine Chris Crary is preparing Thai dinners at Whist on October 21 and 28. The five course family-style meal costs $40 a head and $25 extra for a wine pairing. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— Test Kitchen management has added a few chefs to its opening lineup at Bestia. Of note, Jeremy Fox is testing out his Barnyard menu, Jeff Mahin (Stella Rossa) and Waylynn Lucas (fonuts) are slotted in for October 25, with Neal Fraser (Fritzi Dog) and Sang Yoon (Father's Office) on October 27 and Jason Travi back on October 28. DOWNTOWN— Pizza Rustica at 3782 South Figueroa near USC is up for grabs at $250,000. The 1,430 square-foot eatery seats 24 inside and 12 on the outdoor patio. There's a 41 beer/wine license and the sale includes all fixtures and equipment. [EaterWire]
