SANTA MONICA— The guys behind Stout are preparing to next open their popular craft beer and burger bar near the Third Street Promenade on Santa Monica Boulevard and 2nd Ave. Check out a rendering of the future space. BTW, management is scouting for even more locations. [EaterWire]

VENICE— Although Patricia Tsai's artisan chocolate boutique, Chocovivo, is relocating to Culver City, before its big move the shop will decamp from its current Abbot Kinney home to a pop-up space further down the block inside Fiore Designs, taking residence from November 1 to December 31. DOWNTOWN— Last year chef Neal Fraser (Fritzi Dog) cooked the inaugural Beefsteak 2011 dinner a Vibiana, a pricey ($150) cocktail attire affair to benefit the LA Food Bank. This year, Beefsteak 2012 takes place on December 1 at 7 p.m., hosted by a slew of entertainment guys, in addition to comedian and food fanatic, Aziz Ansari. Full details here. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Currywurst has started to serve a dessert called Spaghetti Ice Cream. It looks just like spaghetti with tomato sauce ... but is made from ice cream. [Urban Daddy]

SANTA MONICA— Main Street's two-year-old Madame Chou Chou now boasts a new moniker, Cafe Noir. Management is also changing the menu to offer more typical bistro fare. [Grub Street]
