On December 6 the strip mall which houses Pita on Vine, Kings Thai, El Floridita, and Atch-Kotch at Fountain and Vine adds a feel-good friend, Redemption Foods, a new dining establishment which employs "ex-offenders, men & women who have been sentenced to serve a term in prison." Much in the way Homeboy Cafe and Homeboy Industries downtown hires/rehabilitates former gang members. The restaurant, run by nonprofit New Horizon Community Reentry Center, a home for those released from prison, will serve this Cali fusion menu. [EaterWire]
