1) Downtown: Om Nom Organics, mentioned yesterday, will manifest as a convenience store with a focus on organic and natural products. Think grab and go breakfast and lunch, in addition to packaged foods, pressed juices, sundries, and convenience items. The launch is planned for mid-October. [EaterWire]
2) Westwood: With regard to Daniel Shemtob's brick and mortar take on The Lime Truck, a vehicle slinging Cali fusion eats with Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean inspiration - a few notes. TLT Food, as it's called, slated to launch November 1 (but don't let that stop anyone from hitting up Yelp with a five star review already), will serve keg wine, limited bottled wine (BYO, too), and tbd craft beer. 3) West Hollywood: Michael Consbruck, landscape architect turned boutique wine broker, plans to focus on smaller production Central Coast and Northern California wines at this West Hollywood tasting room, V. In addition, V will serve tea and coffee drinks with Cake and Art custom desserts, and patrons have the option to buy bottles of beer/wine, chocolates, cheeses, and larder goods in the retail shop to take home. The venue's overall theme was inspired by a 1930s library (the building served as West Hollywood's first library from 1929 ? 1941), to be designed by Carlos Flores from Solrac Design and Philip Younce.
