Matt Biancaniello's Bar, Alma Adds Seats, More!

WEST SIDE— While many are bemoaning the looming loss of lauded farm-to-table barman Matt Biancaniello of Library Bar in the Roosevelt, Matt says that he's woking on opening his own place, possibly on the west side. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—Chef Ari Taymor drops Eater a note to say that he's remodeling Alma's dining room right after Thanksgiving to add 12 communal dining seats and a counter facing out to Broadway. Total dining seatage will be upped to 40. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— That new nightclub, Sound, from Muse Lifestyle Group, is now set to launch on November 9. [EaterWire]

AROUND TOWN— For Veteran's Day, full service CPK locations are giving out a free pizza and non-alcoholic beverage to all veterans and active military who show ID or come in uniform on November 11 and 12. [EaterWire]

GLENDALE— On Sunday afternoon a man entered Cold Stone Creamery on Foothill Boulevard, ordered a coffee ice cream cone, and then demanded all of the store's money. He successfully departed with the cash, leaving his (unpaid) coffee cone behind. [LAT]
