Despite the Name, Wolf in Sheep's Clothing is NOT Kris Tominaga and Brian Dunsmoor's Pop-Up

New, 47 comments

Although Yo! Venice! wrote that the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing pop-up was settling down on Abbot Kinney, this is not exactly the case. Or, at least not with original chefs that brought the concept to life, Kris Tominaga and Brian Dunsmoor. Tominaga clears the air:

Just wanted to give you a heads up, the new wisc restaurant you posted on today has no connection with us. We're pretty outraged and feel taken advantage of. Brian myself and none of the wolf in sheeps clothing staff are involved with that project, the entire crew is at hart and the hunter and this is more or less a knock off of our hard work and ideas. using the chef that we placed at Capri for ak supper club.
John Mascarenhas of this new Wolf in Sheep's Clothing iteration helped debut the original pop-up at Capri. For version 2.0, he basically took the WiSC name along with two chefs who recently cooked at Capri and launched this permanent version. Which just so happens to be opening on the same night as The Hart and The Hunter.
