The New York Times gives a nod to Los Angeles' ever growing kosher scene, calling out the vast array of better dining options, such as Mexikosher where chef Katsuji Tanabe looks to create Mexican plates using kosher practices. As stated by nearby resident Elina Shatkin of Los Angeles Magazine, "For so long, the food was so blah and mediocre, I would never take friends there. Now I can say, 'Let me take you someplace where you can get something you can't find anywhere else.' " [NYT]
