Babette's, located in East Hampton, New York, is one of the few dining operations that hasn't changed with the times. Or with the fickle high/low season. The restaurant has occupied a corner space on Newtown Lane for more than a decade and it's the quintessential Hamptons breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot, focused on serving an approachable California-style health-oriented organic menu. Think egg dishes, a Tuscan quinoa bowl, and a tofu scramble in the AM, meanwhile lunch and dinner jumps from a falafel plate and Asian chicken salad to sesame crusted tuna and buccatini primavera. And now, Babette's is coming to Los Angeles. No word yet on location or timeline, but the restaurant would be a sure hit in the Santa Monica vicinity. [EaterWire]
