Bittersweet Treats, first a dessert-centric catering company, is about to launch on December 4 as a post and beam bakery, and pastry chef Danielle Keene (Top Chef: Just Desserts) couldn't be more excited. In fact, the above pictured Pasadena shop is her childhood dream come true. Contemporary yet warm, Keene designed Bittersweet Treats herself from the bakery's logo to the heart-shaped collection of Polaroids on one wall. Here Keene and business partner Linda Chen will serve a modern take on classic desserts from cookies to ice cream to cupcakes and cakes plus LAMILL coffee drinks. Hours of operation to run Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
