Manhattan Beach's modern sushi and Asian fusion joint Sashi, born back in 2008, yesterday stowed away the soy sauce indefinitely. But the shiny silver lining here is that none other than Thierry Perez of L'Epicerie and an original partner in Fraiche has signed on to take the space as of November 1. No word yet on the forthcoming concept but with his past track record it will likely involved something French.
Manhattan Beach is slowly growing its culinary scene with the inception of chef David LeFevre's M.B. Post and Michael Zislis' Strand House. Lemonade opened, Pitfire is underway, and now Perez with this.
