Proof that West Third Street is hot real estate: Just weeks after Beyond Bread Bakery & Cafe shuttered, a new bakery is arriving in its place. Tartine 'o' Chocolat, from owner and restauranteur Thomas Sandi, plans to open on December 12 (12/12/12). He's recruited a French pastry chef to hand-dip chocolates, roll the puff pastry and bake the croissants each morning. Besides patisserie, the shop will serve French salads, sandwiches and items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A selection of espresso drinks will also be on offer, mais oui.
