A new Italian restaurant called Maccheroni Republic is underway at Broadway and 3rd, replacing Kalbi Gogo. Owner Jean Louis (Locanda Veneta) is overhauling the 1,600 square foot space with a rustic Italian vibe and Brigham Yen has some early interior shots. Equipped to seat 70 (40 inside and 30 on a side patio), Maccheroni Republic aims to serve the nabe affordable plates of fresh pasta starting around $7.95. Louis plans to soft open this week for friends and family, and debut to the public in around two weeks.
