Through the grapevine comes word that the lone standing Fraiche restaurant in Santa Monica is set to shutter on Monday. Apparently new owners were supposed to take over January 1, but they've now decided to step in sooner. And with the restaurant's storied past, its ups and downs, and the Culver City location shutter, this doesn't much come as a surprise. Plus, Fraiche SM has been on the market for a hot minute. Management has yet to confirm or deny (phone calls go unanswered), supposedly some employees are aware of the looming end, others are not.
