As of Sunday, one day earlier than expected, the Fraiche brand has officially become defunct in Los Angeles. Which is sad. Because when the French/Italian hybrid first launched almost six years ago in Culver City, it received accolades left and right, and it was based on this early success that a second branch was eventually born in Santa Monica. But, new owners took over and tales of mismanagement started to circulate. Santa Monica was on the market, Culver City shuttered, and now Santa Monica is down and out for good. The end.
