1) Westwood: Over the summer reps for Junior's Deli sent word of minor aesthetic updates, but according to KTLA the restaurant and bakery will shutter its doors December 31. Declining sales and a raise in rent are to blame. Meanwhile, brothers David and John Saul (their father launched the business in 1959) hope to reopen Junior's in a new location. [KTLA]
2) Canoga Park: Sierra's Mexican Restaurant of Canoga Park, a Latin eatery which dates back to the 1930s and has occupied a space on Canoga Avenue for the last 43 years, is throwing in the towel on December 31. Its adjacent Mission Burrito will shutter as well. [DailyNews]
