With Equinox, 24 Hour Fitness, and the Third Street Promenade just a block away, Nekter Juice Bar picked a smart westside locale to introduce itself to Angelenos. A juicing operation out of Orange Country, this here LA home marks the chainlet's eighth juice cafe, and owners Steve and Alexis Schulze have more LA plans in the works. The couple is also taking over früute in West Hollywood and considering spaces in Westwood. They want to make juicing approachable for the masses, which also explains why their drinks start at $4.75 for 16-ounces, as compared to $7 and up at other other popular juice spots around town. And also unlike many competitors, Nekter sells both grab-and-go bottled juices (and cleanses and cocktail mixers), but will also press a juice or blend a smoothie to order.
In addition to juice, Nekter sells a selection of healthy packaged goods, acai bowls, and some salads.
Looking to take hold of the juice sector, Steve Schulze explains that Nekter will launch 15 new locations next year, with many many more to come over the next few years. Outside of LA, he's looking in the Bay Area and Scottsdale. As for Nekter in Santa Monica, the juice bar was supposed to open tomorrow but the launch has been pushed a few days back.
