3rd Street Station Neighborhood Pub Opens Friday

New, 7 comments

Mid City's restaurant row, aka West 3rd Street, is about to score a new tenant with the inception of 3rd Street Station, that previously tracked neighborhood pub opened by partners Sky Reiss (Magnolia) and Dion Rottman in the shuttered Smokin' Joint space near La Cienega.

February 17 at 11AM marks the launch, and chef Greg DeMichiel has prepared a hybrid American/European comfort food menu of both small and large plates that sound like New York strip loin with bordelaise sauce and duck fat cippolini onions; pork shoulder chickpea spatzel and pickled brussels sprouts; and sous vide Niman Ranch short rib with a chanterelle mushroom fricassee. Smaller dishes cost about $6 to $7, meanwhile larges entrees range between $9 and $15, so relatively reasonable in price.

To drink one will find classic cocktails, European beers on tap, and a mixed assortment of international wine. 3rd Street Station is open for lunch and dinner, with a separate late-night menu as well. Hours of operation run daily from 11AM to 2AM.
