1) Santa Monica: A reader writes, "I stopped by Pourtal yesterday for happy hour and was informed by one of the employees that a new owner is taking over at the end of the month. The employees are being told that the wine and food menu would change but not clear as to what that change would be. This place is such a great local hang out that is dog friendly... we would be crushed if it changed. Have you heard anything?" Pourtal, another enomatic wine dispenser which lasted almost three years on Santa Monica Blvd, shutters February 25. A new wine bar called 104 by the Sea is supposedly taking over. [Eater Inbox, LAW]
2) West Hollywood: Two and a half years after opening its second Thai vegan restaurant in that strip mall with Holloway Cleaners on Santa Monica Blvd at Flores, Green Leaves has closed up shop and a note posted on the door states that the restaurant will reopen as Bamboo Lu Pho. [EaterWire]
