A sad end to quite a long story. Adolfo Suaya (BoHo) teamed up with (former partner) Diego Herrera to bring Hollywood the first US branch of Osaka, a Peruvian fusion hotspot with locations scattered throughout South America. Since Osaka first broke ground in August 2008, construction was slow-going, and it wasn't until three full years later that the restaurant finally opened doors on Hollywood Boulevard. Unfortunately, Suaya says that the space was too big, thus too difficult to fill, and not the right location. As of last night Osaka has shuttered, however Suaya is looking to relocate the restaurant to another venue just like he did with BoHo. He's scouting for a 90-seat space, perhaps on La Cienega or Melrose.
