Abigaile Brings The Hip to Hermosa Beach on Monday

This right here is the handy work of MAI Studio who worked on Gjelina's aesthetic. What was once Union Cattle Co reopens on Monday as Abigaile, a hip new seasonally-inclined small plates space cheffed by Max DiMare out of Wood Tavern in San Fran. Drinks follow suit with a slew of fruity crafty cocktails, microbrews on tap and by bottle, plus domestic and international wine.

Paying homage to the building's past (once served as a space used by punk band Black Flag), owner Jed Sanford brought in Fletcher Dragge, lead guitar player of Pennywise who grew up in Hermosa listening to Black Flag here. Dragge worked with Bishop Pass on the graffiti design which incorporates in old punk rock club posters.

While some might miss Union Cattle Co's mechanical bull, it's time Hermosa Beach drew in more food-focused affairs, and Abigaile is a start.
