Two new restaurants are underway in Silver Lake. Up first is Black Hogg from chef Eric Park who has cooked in kitchens like Eleven Madison Park and The Spotted Pig, both in NYC. The restaurant, designed by Brendan Ravenhill (Osteria La Buca), is set to open early this month at 2852 W. Sunset Boulevard. Expect plates like Kuobuta pork belly tacos, lamb burgers, and roaster marrow bones with heirloom carrot salad. Meanwhile, also coming to W. Sunset is Heywood, a self-proclaimed gourmet grilled cheese shoppe suited for the corner of Sunset and Micheltorena. A one Mike Kaminsky is behind this eatery which will offer both old and new grilled cheese creations, slated to open this month.
