Although reps won't confirm an exact launch date, it seems likely that James Beard nominated chef Ricardo Zarate and partner Stephane Bombet's Mo-Chica on 7 will open within the next two weeks. As one can see from the shots above, the Peruvian restaurant, a more grown up version of Zarate's Mo-Chica inside Mercado La Paloma, is pretty much set save for a few final touches. Overall the space doesn't feel like a terribly far cry from the team's other upscale Peruvian haunt Picca, perhaps a bit more urban with more of those wall drawings.
