This is pretty exciting. UCLA is kicking off a series of public lectures with a gaggle of uber chefs from around the world. Modernist René Redzepi (who has a nice little feature in the new Bon Appetit) of Noma will speak with Lars Williams from the Nordic Food Lab on April 2, meanwhile author of Modernist Cuisine Nathan Myhrvold gives a lecture on April 25. David Chang (Momo empire), Peter Meehan (Lucky Peach), Jimmy Shaw (Loteria), Sherry Yard (Spago), and Bill Yosses (The White House) are also scheduled to share thoughts. Tickets cost $20 each. Sign up asap because these will definitely sell out.
