The Full Reveal Inside Tortilla Republic, Opening Tonight

Since today brings the grand opening of Tortilla Republic in West Hollywood, it's time for a complete look around. This here is the sister restaurant to seven- month-old Tortilla Republic in Kauai, Hawaii, conceived by partners Morten Kaag, John Halter, and Mina Azami of Taste on Melrose and Taste in Pacific Palisades. What was once Americanized sushi slinger Fat Fish has been reborn as a breezy but sleek new space with Mexican motifs (hello Tim Burton-esque central tree), a thatched wood ceiling, and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating options from chairs to lounge-y banquettes.
