Golden Road Brewing and its newish pub just aren't enough for Glendale. Steve Skorupa, co-owner of Irish pub Timmy Nolan's Tavern in Toluca Lake, is in the process of opening a new beer-focused bar called The Glendale Tap, or The GT for short. He plans to install 50+ taps from local craft brewers, several nitro taps, and possibly offer cask beer as well. About half of the draft beers will fluctuate and the other half will remain constant. Within four months of opening, Skorupa estimates he might be able to serve cask wine, too.
Since The GT is licensed as a tavern and not a restaurant, a plan is in place to supply a limited menu from Timmy Nolan's. Expect two pool tables and a jukebox with over 300 albums. As for the timeline, this project is about four months away from inception. [EaterWire]
