Last month Lou Amdur, proprietor of Lou on Vine, confirmed plans to sell his six-year-old wine bar to new owner Troy Stevens, with the intent to reinvent Lou elsewhere in LA. Just now Amdur issued the following statement on Lou's state of affairs and future:
"Dear friends, The transaction to sell my wine bar will finalize on Wednesday, April 25th. On that date I will hand over the keys to the buyer, Troy Stevens. The restaurant will continue to operate (expect to see a new name within 90 days), and Troy’s intention is to keep the status quo: he plans to run the same menu, and work with the same employees and the same decor. The restaurant will still be Lou, in a way, just without me, Lou Amdur. I will soon have something to share with you about my plans for Lou 2.0, but in the meantime I hope you will stop by and say hello before the changeover. On the evening of Tuesday, April 24th, we will be pouring some special wines to celebrate six years of business—come thirsty! Lou"·Lou Amdur Announces Lou Shutter, Promises Lou 2.0 [~ELA~]
