LAist relays news that 55% of seafood sold at LA and OC markets and restaurants is mislabled. Oceana, a Washington DC-based non profit, collected samples from 119 LA and OC restaurants, sushi bars, and supermarkets between May and December 2011 and found that wild salmon, Dover, red snapper, yellowtail and white tuna were all inaccurately labeled.
