Highland Park Kitchen joined York Blvd in late February, and now Eating LA notices that The Highland Cafe has replaced El Chapin also on York Blvd in Highland Park. A hipper new getup stand in for El Chapin's uninspired interior, now clad with bare Edison bulbs, exposed brick, and vintage furniture. Currently soft open, THC serves an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, and coffee beverages brewed from Handsome Coffee Roasters beans. Open daily from 7AM to 6:30PM. [EaterWire]
