Five chefs, five pigs, and five wineries make up Cochon 555, taking place at House of Blues on May 6. Participating chefs include last year's winner Chad Colby (Mozza), Ben Ford (Ford's Filling Station), Neal Fraser and Travis Lorton (Strand House), Jason Neroni (Superba Snack Bar), and Micah Wexler (Mezze). Chefs will prepare a whole heritage breed hog from head to tail and the winner continues on to compete at FOOD & WINE Classic's Grand Cochon event in Aspen on June 17. Tickets for the LA tasting cost $125 or $200 for VIP early entrance. [EaterWire, previously]
