Ahead of schedule, Blind Barber, an offshoot of the hip New York barbershop and drinkery, opened today in Culver City. As it turns out, not only can one pop in for a cut and one complimentary cocktail, but similar to the back door at The Varnish, the door located toward the rear of this chop shop is actually the entrance to a covert full bar clad with booths, a dance floor, and even a DJ. Guest of a Guest has a look at the $10 cocktail menu, and here in LA owners Adam Kirsch, Jeff Laub, and Josh Boyd are - for the first time ever - also serving a short list of bar bites with a heavy focus on grilled cheese. Tentative hours of operation for the barbershop are noon to 9PM with the bar serving from 6PM to 2AM.
