Post Fire, Dakota Lounge Reopening Early Summer

In July 2010 Dakota Lounge on Wilshire and 11th, situated between Huckleberry and Golden Mean, experienced a disastrous fire which consumed most of the restaurant and live music venue. Dakota shuttered, however management initially hoped to reopen a month later, but for well over a year the charred space looked untouched, boarded up, with lights off. Finally, some life. Dakota's interior is in the process of being completely rebuilt (up above), and a new awning was installed this past Saturday. Right now the plan is to launch as a refreshed version of its original self somewhere in May or June.
